The Youth Hostel " Les Liddes" has forseen at Zinal
the establishment of a well equipped Youth Hostel intented fot groups. The
latter fulfils these needs since it is arranger as a nice, small-size hotel
"chalet" style which constitutes the particularity of the Val d'Anniviers.
It is available for rent, all furnished and with equipment for 100 beds

The people in charge of youth groups, schoolls and
institutes of all kinds will be allowed to use the complete kitchen
equipment for cooking, to ensure lodging, classes or inside-out-side
recreations according to their expectations. In addition to these
facilities, the healthy climate of a 1670 metres resort is not a lesser
factor. |
| Zinal is accessible by a good mountain road
which remains open sll the year round. Aregular -, on requirement,
special - service of postal cars starts at Sierre, on the Simplon
rail-road line (Paris - Milan - Rome) is situated at a distance of 15 km
from Sion, 110 km from Lausanne, 170 km from Geneva and 278 km from
Milan

| The Youth Hostel "Les Liddes" is situated on a
small hill, away from the traffic at the edge of a forest. It is however,
located at the entrance of the resort, at less than 200 metres from the
center of Zinal, and from the cableway, Zinal-Sorebois. With ski, cross
country, delta. paragliding, schools and the resort facilities (cableway,
8 ski-lifts. 1 skating rink) enable all kinds of winter sports
activities associated with today's tourism, ski instructors being also
available. Due to the altitude of the slopes of Sorebois (2100 m to 2900
m) and its good snow condition, skiing can be practiced until late
spring. Apart from tennis, football ground, swimming pool and minigolf,
Zinal offers, during the summer and autumn period, countless hiking
possibilities, ranging from the easy walk to the mountain climbing in
the surrounding Alps with the imposing six snow-covered peaks of more
4000 metres. |
| The two buildings of the Youth Hostel " Les Liddes"
include - besides the lodging area - a 80 m2 dining-room with kitchen,
adjoining storage space and store-kepper's office, a class or game room
covering 100 m2. The available equipment includes furniture, bedding,
chinaware and all kitchen material necessary for a rational use. |
| The lodging capacity consist of 9 six-bed romms
and one four-bed room in each building, as well as the appartment of the
group's superintendent, thus totalling : 18 rooms of 6 beds each, 2
rooms of 4 beds each : 116 beds including sanitary installation (W.C.
- wash-stands - 12 showers). |
